Eric is the President and Managing Shareholder of our professional corporation, and also manages our business valuation and ESOP related consulting practice. He received his B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas in 1975. He received his original CPA certificate #1764 in Arkansas in 1977, and his current Colorado CPA license #12389 in 1990. Eric is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), accredited in business valuation and appraisal services by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). He is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of CPAs. Prior to joining our firm he was a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent with the IRS Criminal Investigation Division.

Eric specializes in a variety of business consulting services, including ESOP and tax/estate related business valuations (a field in which he has 30 years of experience); ESOP feasibility, design and implementation; equity compensation and incentive plans; and exit planning services for business owners.

After serving as Zick's President and Managing Shareholder since 2005, effective during early 2025, Greg Zick will assume the role of President and Managing Shareholder and Eric will become a Vice President of the Firm as he moves toward retirement.

Greg is the Vice President and a shareholder in our professional corporation. He received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Colorado State University (one of seven Colorado colleges and universities with AACSB international accreditation for its School of Business) in Ft. Collins in 1993, and obtained his Colorado CPA license #16142 in 1995. Greg is also a Certified Valuation Analyst accredited in business valuation by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, though his CVA is currently inactive and he is non-practicing due to his commitment to managment of the firm's tax practice. 

Greg's primary role is managment of Zick's tax practice and tax team.  Greg also personally works with some of our larger business clients and high net worth individuals on their business and personal tax matters in addition to managing the Zick tax team. He is an expert in the complex field of oil and gas taxation, and is also a Five-Star Investment Professional. 

Greg will succeed Eric Ransick as the Firm's President and Managing Shareholder early in 2025.

Matt is a shareholder in our professional corporation.  He is a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of Fort Lewis College in Durango (one of seven Colorado colleges and universities with AACSB international accreditation for its School of Business) where he received his B.A. in Accounting with a minor in Economics.  

He received his Colorado CPA license #31341 in 2013, and is also a Certified Valuation Analyst accredited in business valuation by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. In the tax arena, Matt works with a limited number of the firm's small business, trust and individual income tax clients. As a CVA, Matt conducts and participates in a wide variety of business valuation engagements for ESOP and other valuation clients of the firm. 

Matt is also responsible for internal management of our computer systems/technology, working closely with our outside IT consultants.

Kim has over twenty years of accounting and tax experience in CPA firms in Oklahoma, and has been a CPA since 2006 (originally licensed in Oklahoma #16195 and licensed in Colorado #9036284 in 2019).  She joined Zick in January 2019 following a move to the Denver Metro Area to be closer to family. 

Kim is an expert in Quickbooks and a Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor (for both the Desktop/Network and Online versions).  She also has experience in working in the Oil & Gas field.  She is primarily responsible for working with a variety of the firm's individual, business, trust and estate tax clients.

Lisa joined Zick in November 2023.  She is an experienced tax practitioner who held increasing responsibilities in two tax CPA firms over the most recent eight years (with more than six years of prior corporate experience).

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University in Denver (one of seven Colorado colleges and universities with AACSB international accreditation for its School of Business) and is an Enrolled Agent authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.  Welcome Lisa!!  

Chris joined the Zick team in November 2024.  He brings over eight years of experience as a tax professional to the firm, including work in roles of increasing responsibility at the firms he worked with prior to joining Zick, including reviews of other professionals' work and preparation of complex returns himself.  He has effectiely represented clients before the IRS and multiple states' tax authorities.  We're delighted to have Chris on our team!!   

Jenny joined the Zick team effective December 31, 2024, and brings a diverse international background and fifteen years of experience to the firm.  She speaks four languages fluently, including her native Ukrainian.  In addition to typically preparing several hundred federal, state, and local tax returns a year for both individual and business clients, Jenny has a proven track record in resolving complex tax disputes between clients and the IRS and other tax authorities.  We welcome her to the Zick tax team! 

Emily joined Zick as a paid student intern for the 2023 tax filing season, and assisted our tax CPAs in business and individual income tax return preparation projects, in working with business client Quickbooks data, and on other assigned projects. Following the 2023 tax season, Emily accepted a full-time tax professional position at the Firm with increased client and other responsibilities. 

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver (one of seven Colorado colleges and universities with AACSB international accreditation for its School of Business), and plans on securing either her CPA license or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) certification, either of which will allow her to represent clients in matters before the IRS, as soon as possible. 

Debi is a shareholder in our professional corporation and the Office Manager for our Firm. She is a primary point of contact for our clients and has a wide range of administrative responsibilities in terms of the "business" side of managing our company.  Debi also provides bookeeping and bill payment services to some business and individual clients, and provides paraprofessional support to the firm's Certified Valuation Analysts in business valuation engagements.

Dean Zick founded our professional corporation in 1971, and was President and Managing Shareholder of the Firm until 2005. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Denver in 1954, and held an active Colorado CPA license #900 for nearly 50 years, before transitioning to inactive CPA license status. Dean officially retired from the Firm in 2018 at age 88, and passed away peacefully at home in January 2019.  We all miss him!!
